How do you really feel today?
Welcome to Open Pathways and taking your first step towards exploring therapy
Therapy begins with where you are today. You don't need to have any answers or understand why you're feeling the way you do. At Open Pathways, I am a Psychotherapist and Counsellor offering support to aged 18 and over, including neurodivergent clients, from all backgrounds and life experiences. Whether you're seeking help with an immediate concern or looking to explore deeper patterns and create lasting change, I provide online therapy for clients in the UK and overseas, and offer in‑person sessions in Horsham, Woking and London EC1V.
Drawing on nearly 40 years in healthcare, including 20 years as a midwife; I bring an empathetic and grounded presence shaped by experience in nursing, psychotherapy, and medical‑technology sales & marketing and leadership. I work with people experiencing major life transition challenges, relationship issues, workplace pressures / burnout, anxiety & stress and birth trauma. I guide you towards a clearer self‑understanding, a deeper understanding of others, more grounded choices and a stronger sense of authenticity and resilience that supports a more meaningful, fulfilling life.
“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination”.
Carl R. Rogers (1961)

At the heart of my person‑centred way of working is an integrative approach grounded in unconditional positive regard. I believe each person is unique and therapy should be shaped around your individual needs where your feelings are heard and validated. My approach is shaped by years of supporting people through significant life transitions.
I draw on a blend of evidence‑informed approaches, choosing what best fits your needs: Psychodynamic therapy (uncovering unconscious patterns shaped by early relationships), CBT (identifying and reframing automatic thoughts), and Humanistic therapy (supporting growth, self‑awareness, choice and personal meaning).
In addition I use Transactional Analysis and Gestalt therapy, alongside Mindfulness, as a practical framework to help clients increase self connection, understand behaviour and communication, supporting healthier relationships, reducing conflict & emotional reactivity and making interactions more authentic.
